Welcome Letter

Dear Fans and Supporters,

2006 marks a special year for me — the beginning of my professional golf career. I have worked since I was thirteen years old on my golf game. While at Kent State on a golf scholarship, I had the privilege of playing with the best male amateur golfers in the world at the top NCAA level and getting an education at the same time. In December 2005, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. Now, I am working at my game as a member of the Grey Goose Gateway Tour in Florida.

The toughest part of starting a pro career is finding the money to cover the initial expenses. It takes money to make money, as the saying goes. Fortunately, my family, home club, Trafalgar Golf & Country Club, and friends and business associates of my parents have given me a boost. The silent auction fundraising event on March 3, 2006 was a great success.

The funding from the auction and the donations will be put to good use. They will enable me to pay my expenses while fine-tuning my game and getting ready for bigger horizons.

I owe special thanks to so many people. Dave Mills, Executive Director of the Golf Association of Ontario and Jon Mills Dad, pulled out all stops to help my parents organize the auction each step of the way. Other team members included my constant friend and coach Steve Chapman, Marguerite Neri the GM of Weight Watchers of Southern Ontario who meticulously organized the evening with my parents, my sister Jennie and her musician friends and the many who provided auction items.

I’m also grateful to Mayor Hazel McCallion for her kind words. As a former athlete, she knows what it takes to succeed.

Thanks for your show of support. I will keep you in the back of my mind at each and every tournament knowing that you are cheering me on.
